Music Lessons

At Young Harmonisers, we use music to promote learning. We offer music training for young people in a fun-filled and exciting environment!
What world-wide language promotes reading, creativity, and comprehension skills all at the same time? MUSIC!
According to research, music provides us with a natural and rhythmic way to learn. Do you ever wonder why children learn to sing their ABCs before they can say them? Do you notice that so many of our favourite children’s books have a certain rhyme or rhythmic pattern? Many studies show that there is a very strong connection between literacy and music.
The real goal of Young Harmonisers is to use music as a fun forum to instil in our young pupils a little extra confidence, a little extra co-ordination and a little extra control. These are abilities which we believe will go a long way to help them in the future.

Leading expert Professor Nina Kraus, a neuroscientist says:

‘Learning to play an instrument has major advantages for a growing brain and should be a key part of school education. We now know that music can fundamentally shape our sub-cortical sensory circuitry in ways that may enhance everyday tasks, including reading and listening in noise’.
